This pretty metal bookmark is inspired by the window installed in The Huntington's Virginia Steele Scott Galleries of American Art, which George Washington Maher and Louis Millet designed.  

For the James Patten House of 1901, Maher chose a thistle motif, which he used in numerous variations, juxtaposed with geometric figures, throughout the house. This window was one of a set of three from the Patten House grand entry hall. It was designed by Maher and produced under the direction of stained-glass artist Louis Millet.
